With the world environment problems increasing, the landscape architecture is developed by leaps and bounds。The Chinese traditional garden enjoys the great popularity of "Mother of the World Gardens", But its status has been faced with the seriously trouble with the development of the international landscape architecture in recent years which means the Chinese landscape architecture needs to be taken further advantage of, protect being polluted and reconstruct to be beautiful scene.Because of the complex factor on the geography, the economy, the history and etc, the Chongqing Garden had not decorated and showed its real garden style though it is one part of Chinese traditional garden. Chongqing Garden is a traditional garden, whose spirit, technique used and humanities view are the model of Chinese modern gardens, and it is the important representative of southwest gardens. At first, the studies of Chongqing garden is for more enlightenment, which can guide modern garden construction; secondly, through summarizing the Chongqing garden's characteristic and analyzing the connotation of "Bayu garden", Chongqing garden will have enabled to play more important role in garden which means the Chinese ancient garden with single characteristic style and larruping sight comes into being.According to the origin of the geography, social and the historical materials, this article studies the history of the Chongqing Garden. We draw the conclusion through analyzing the Chongqing Garden, and doing the comparative analysis among four gardens, the Chongqing Garden, the North Imperial Garden, the South Private Garden and the Sichuan Garden. The Chongqing Garden has its own garden values for getting along well with the nature and full of spots with fresh air. It is not only the soul of Chinese traditional garden spirit, but also tallied with the three levels of the modern garden, which shows the world landscapes, the green coverage and the psychology of popular behavior. Besides, the selecting of the location, the layout, the building instruction, the plant and the hills and stones also fully embodies the local characteristic of Chongqing, where is known for its mountains and plants. At the same time, point out the creating advices for further constructing.In conclusion, the situation of Chongqing Garden's development, follows the track of the modern gardens'development, will be attached great attention to be built as the modern landscape architecture and the foundation scenery garden city.
