Currently human being have not right way to predict earthquakes .China is a country that earthquakes are common. And each earthquake has caused huge property damage and casualties, especially in Tangshan earthquake and Wenchuan earthquake.In recent years, with the development society earthquakes caused severe damages of many primary and middle school buildings, especially the masonry structure and brick-wood structure buildings which are relatively poor in seismic capacity and the serious damage of school buildings. After Wenchuan earthquake more and more scholars pay attention to school buildings both at home and abroad. For the seismic assessment of masonry structure and brick-wood structure buildings of our country, the paper involves the following work:Firstly, through the analysis of the existing material (chiefly to Wenchuan earthquake data) and the personally investigates analyzes the school buildings surrounded Shenyang. This paper introduces several popular structures used in primary and middle school buildings, and analyzes the damage of the school buildings.Secondly, this paper analyzes brick-wood buildings seismic performance. Analyzing the influence factors and seismic performance of brick-wood buildings, and evaluate the seismic behavior of brick-wood buildings factors. Study the fuzzy relations between affecting factors and earthquake damage rating. And using this method to evaluate seismic performance of brick-wood buildings,Thirdly, there many methods to assess anti-earthquake performance of masonry structure buildings,they also have their respective applicable scope. This article through to the discussion of these analysis models, and ultimately think the equivalent frame work model are suitable for masonry structure static nonlinear analysis. Through the analysis of middle and primary school buildings we discover that horizontal and vertical walls having different characteristics. The school of masonry structure usually only have two vertical walls and there are many holes in vertical walls for lighting, and horizontal walls usually have no open holes. Through analysing the domestic and international seismic performance, thinking to use in ter-story drift ratio limits as an evaluation of seismic performance of masonry structure.And using finite element software SAP2000 establishment of generation frame model, using method of pushover to analyse structure, and using in ter-story drift ratio limits to evaluate seismic performance of masonry structure.
