The electromagnetic compatibility of airborne antennas has been studied in this paper firstly, which consists of the basic meaning of EMC, the developments of EMC analysis both at home and abroad, the calculation methods of large electromagnetic problems and the airborne antennas'isolation. After that, the mathematical modeling of the aircraft model has been discussed, of course the geometric model is given, in addition, a brief introduction of the structures and electrical performance of several antennas used in this paper being introduced, then we also study the changes in the antenna radiation pattern before and after the antennas mounted to the aircraft. Finally, we analysis the isolations from two perspectives used monopoles, and improve the isolation between them by changing the ground structure. The results have also been verified. The electromagnetic compatibility of airborne antennas means that the antennas installed on the aircraft platform can work in a compatible state, in other words, neither the performance of the antenna itself drop nor it wouldn't affect other coexistence antennas'properties. This paper analyzes the isolation of two monopoles with the same frequency and polarization in both case short-distance and long-distance, when the distance is0.1λ, the S21 between them is only -8dB, three pairs of gap has been made so that the isolation will go up by 16dB (the location and the specific size of this gap will be determined by the simulation software); when the two antennas is away from each other (about3λ), the isolation can also be improved through the method of open several gaps, which will not affect the radiation characteristics.Using the proposed method can effectively improve the coupling characteristics among the antennas, as long as the location and specific size are determined, we can increase the isolation by about 20 dB without affecting the antennas'radiation characteristics.
