Running at variable-speed constant-voltage (VSCV)is a new demand for wind turbine generator at some application. Hybrid excitation synchronous machine (HESM) synthesized the advantage of permanent magnet synchronous machine and electrical excitation synchronous machine, can running at VSCV condition, is a special structural machine. In this paper, the structural designs of HESM permanent magnet wind turbine generator are researched. The main contents are as follows:Firstly, introduced the structure and principle of the HEAM wind turbine generator. Completed the structural design of a prototype powered at 100kW with the classical formulas in motor design, mechanical formulas and some empirical data, and dimensions given by electromagnetic design. Using with Pro/Engineer 4.0 software, combine with Top-Down Design and Parameterization Modeling methods, created component and Virtual prototype models.Secondly, to the questions that wind power are sensitive to volume and weight, using with Ansys software, do a lot of stress analyses to the motor base(stator back yoke), ezplot thickness with max distortion, max stress and weight. The results indicate that. when the stiffness is enough, the strength and adjustable range of DC are filled. Using with Pro/Engineer software, do stress analyses for different rotor-stander's scheme, sensitive analyses can find the design objectives are influenced by dimension. The results indicate that sectorial lightening hole are mor suitable for wind turbine.Finally, do further development for Pro/Engineer software using with VB.net and VB API functions, create the functional classes and structural design programs of generator. Users can modify the component and Virtual prototype models if they can't use Pro/Engineer very well. Do dimension and tolerance analyses in the program,if tolerance is ill-suited with dimension, awoke users in assembled cartoon by color and sound.
