Modular design is studied and developed in this paper, by analyzed the feature of wind turbine gearbox, the modular design method of the gearbox is established. Wind turbine gearbox has been divided into module, studied the parametric design method of planetary gear module, and resolved the ratio distribution and modification coefficient design problem adopted optimization, developed the wind turbine modular design software with parametric algorithms at the core.Taken the wind turbine gearbox as research object, clarified the concepts of module and modular design method, and analyzed the odds and significance of this method in the design, manufacture and application. Researched the implementation and significance of four kinds modular design methods in wind turbine gearbox design. Briefly introduced the design process of modular design, the design process is made up by the design process of modular system design and production modular based on the modular system. Module division, interface elements and parametric design are the key points of modular design. Analyzed the feature of yaw and variable propeller gearbox and up gearbox in wind turbine, discussed the feasibility of designing wind turbine gearbox with modular design method, built the methodology of wind turbine gearbox modular design method.Based on the result of module division of planetary gear train, finished the design work of planetary gear transmission module by parametric design method. Four base types of planetary transmission modules are different in composition and application, but they must follow ration, concentric, assembled and neighboring principle when design teeth. Teeth design mainly makes the product meet the transmission ratio requirement, and modulus design mainly makes the product meet the strength requirement, it's needed to analysis load before modulus design. Load analysis takes the planetary train as the object, the basic approach is to analyze the various components of the planetary transmission load characteristics, determine the relationship between speed and torque of bearing member and input parameters and teeth. After determined load of bearing member, design modulus of each planetary transmission based on contact strength of tooth and bending strength of tooth root. After determined main parameter, it is required to conduct life and safety performance design, calculate the safely factor within the design life and determine the safety performance of planetary gear train. Meanwhile, in order to improve the load capacity and work performance of planetary gear train, makes the transmission optimization with complex method and modification coefficient optimization according the equilibrium slip rate in AGMA standard.Taken planetary gear design parameters and the transmission ratio, variable coefficient optimization algorithm MATLAB program design as the core, developed the wind turbine modular design software on the Visual Studio platform. Modular cogitation is used in software development, when use this software, it can be designed according to a complete design flow and it is feasible choosing one or more software modules according the users' actual needs.
