As a result of yield development in power electrical technology, the variable voltage and variable frequency technology applies in different industry field. Now the universal converter technology has grown up, but it can not be used in coal mine, just because of mixed explode gas. If the inner of converter make a fire or over-temperature, it will bring a fire damp explosion when the fire comes out of the converter that has no flame-proof. So the converter in coal mine must be provided with flameproof. Because the questions about flameproof, the whole equipment must be closed in flameproof cavity, it is un-change caloric. So it is important for designing the protected circuit of power component and heat sink, It is very important for designing the flameproof converter according to the questions above.In the text, according to the change project of 1140V/75KW motor, the converter for 1140V/75KW motor has been made in laboratory. It has introduced the whole hardware circuit of the converter, include the main circuit and control circuit, and the protect circuit has be optimized according to the special environment of converter in coal mine. On the basic of experiments, some of circuit configuration has been mapped in SolidWorks, so as to distribution with reason. It has introduced the some questions about heat sink and flameproof configuration. In addition, it makes use of SolidWorks for components with finite element analysis, which make optimization design realized.
