As the development of the low economy, energy conservation and emission reduction have became an important target in national economy. This job will be a lasting and emportant tast to the electric power industy. There is a great potential for conservating energy of the reality in our country. Not only with the condition of the key equipment but also on the auxiliary equipment performance and operation condition leading to the development of economically efficient and technically reliable system. Circulation Pump do work on the cooling water to make it cycling between the condenser and cooling tower in closed-loop cooling water system. Thus the circulating water pump is one of the large power consumption auxiliary equipment. It consumes electricity about 1%-1.5% of the total capacity. Circulating water pump operation mode has great infulence on the pressure of steam turbine exhaust steam pressure and the Apc rate index. Therefore,the research and improve circulation pump operation mode has the vital significance for sabing the Apc and improving the plant running economy.Firstly based on the operation characteristics of Panshan power plant 2×600 MW unit to analyze the performace of closed-loop cooling water system. The main work of this article is to analyze the performance of cooling tower conbining with the condenser system and calculate the temperature of cooling water when the burden and the temperature of enviroment is different, then deep analysis and systematic study on coordination in the overall properties of subsystem are very improtant, this research demonstrates the effect of different environmental parameters (temperature and load) and optimizes scheduling of circulationg water pump without any change of original equipment.Secendly based on the original equipment, we add the inverter to the circulating pumps, through changing the running frequency of water pumps to adjust the circulating water flow, thereby work out the optimal flow of circulating pumps on different working conditions.
