The simulation of hydropower plant is an Interdisciplinary, complex system, which include hydraulics, electrics, mechanics, cybernetics, computer science and other subjects. It has very important significance for the improvement of operating personnel's levels. This paper has made a more in-depth study for the realization of the Hydropower Plant Simulation Training System.This paper systematically introduced the composition and the function of the Francis turbine Hydropower Plant Training Simulator. This paper also described the simulation range of Hydropower Plant simulation system in detail.In this paper, we foundated a model of the Francis turbine Hydropower Plant Training Simulator. The Hydropower Plant Training Simulator is very complex, and it Require a higher accuracy of simulation models. For the above reasons, we foundated a model of the Hydraulic turbine and the governing system, which using external characteristics method based on Lagrange interpolation. And we analysed the result of the Simulation. It can be seen by comparison with the actual unit curves, the Simulation error is within the allowable range. These instructions, the models we founded are correct, and the result of the Simulation reflect the actual running of hydropower plants.
