Railways in China have been one of the most important modes of transportation, which run in the mode of mixed running of freight trains and passenger trains in the long time. But the mode of cargo and passenger on the same line has poor flexibility and transport capacity. In recent years the high-speed railway is developing rapidly in China, and most of railway passenger train transfer to high-speed railway. To adapt to the change of passenger and freight demand after the completion of high-speed railway, meet railway transport organization after separation of passenger transport from freight transport, and improve the quality and service level, research on the strategic innovation of railway transport organization after separation of passenger transport from freight transport, has important significance in theory and practice.This paper is based on the initial build of high-speed rail network in China in 2012, and the background of mainly trunk line of the eastern region implementing separation of passenger transport from freight transport, researching on the development of separation of passenger transport from freight transport both at home and abroad in the eastern region, the mode of train transportation organization of busy trunk line after separation of passenger transport from freight transport, the optimization of train transportation organization of both passenger and freight in the eastern region, and the doordinated and balanced program of development with the other modes of transportation.First, summarize the development situation of foreign multi-line railway, the present situation of transportation organization of high-speed railway and existing railway. Analyze necessity of separation of passenger transport from freight transport on the trunk line, refining suggestions that can be mirrored by.Secrend, analyze the organizational characteristics that are different in separation of passenger transport from freight transport and mixed running of freight trains and passenger trains, and their influence. Construct optimization model of rational division of labor between the high-speed railway and existing railway, and research the influence on rail capacity.Third, summarize the present situation of passenger transportation organization and the development trend, research optimization strategy of passenger transportation organization after the separation of passenger transport from freight transport, and put forward combination marketing strategy of passenger transportation. Forth, summarize the present situation of freight transportation organization and the development trend, estimate the release quantity of transportation capacity after the separation of passenger transport from freight transport on the trunk line, propose improving direction of freight services and the suggestion to the optimization of freight transportation organization, and put forward marketing strategy of freight transportation.Finally, analyze of influence on other modes of transportation after the separation of passenger transport from freight transport, based on the non-interchange of passenger transportation and seamless connection of freight transportation, research on the measures and suggestions of doordinated and balanced program of development with the other modes of transportation.
