China as a large oil consumptive country, in order to ensure sustained economic development and social stability, we must improve the oil reserve mechanism to protect its supply, large storage tanks are used to solve this problem. Large diameter and large volume are characteristics of Large storage tank, so demanding foundation must be stability. Based on the particularity of large storage and characteristics of pile foundation, analysis design and deformation of pile foundation of large storage tank on deep soft soil foundation combined with Zhenhai Lanshan crude oil commercial reserve base project. Come to settlement calculation methods and matter should be attention about design on similar projects.Based on settlement curve of Zhenhai Lanshan crude oil commercial reserve base project, using double curve method and three-point method to calculate total settlement of large storage tank foundation, and the result is randomness which calculated by three-point method, the result calculated by double curve method is reliability, which can fully reflect the overall situation.Analysis several methods of pile settlement and their problem, amending Equiva-lent Layer Wise Summation Method. Bring up The Method Based On Mindlin Solution Combined With Load Transfer Method to Calculate Pile Group Foundation Settlement. And establish finite difference model of large tank Pile Group on deep soft soil foundation with FLAC-3D. Investigate deformation of the ground, the interaction of pile and soil, the influence to deformation of foundation pile of different pile length and diameter.Calculating settlement of pile foundation used Equivalent Pier Foundation Method, Equivalent Layer Wise Summation Method, Amending Equivalent Layer Wise Summation Method, The Settlement Method Based On Mindlin Solution Combined With Load Transfer Method to Calculate Pile Group Foundation and FLAC-3D based on this project. Compared the result with field monitoring data, indicated the result of FLAC-3D is the closest to actual situation and The Settlement Method Based On Mindlin Solution Combined With Load Transfer Method to Calculate Pile Group Foundation is closer to actual situation.FLAC-3D numerical simulation is more complex and diffcult,and the other is relatively simple, convenient and more suitable for practical application of engineering. the paper recommended that the method is used to similar projects for settlement calculation.
