The FRP boats will endurance impact of water flow and sand when it is travelling in the river,so strength and stiffness of materials should fulfill the standard for the hull of ship or boat.Along with the high-speed water transportation and multifunction boats'needing,the materials for boats and ships need higher performance of strength and impact resistance. So it means important significance to study composite materials of impact resistance and ballistic performance for boats.The subject of impact resistance and ballistic performance is a hot spot for military technology.The purpose of This theses is study composite of ballistic performance for ship to fill the requirement of impact resistance and ballistic performance.Experiment and simulation is combined for the study,the follow contents are the mainly aspects for our work.1. The materials for boats have selection first.In this paper,how the properties and structures of different fibers influence have been compared and studied,the aramid fiber have been selected,also by experiment we get the optimal structure of weaving of reinforcing fiber.2. Select the resin for yachts as the matrix,on integration of the principle that elongation at break of fiber and matrix should be accessed and the basic theory of Maxwell model,so the fiber and resin matrix have been matched.Last the optic method of matching for fiber and resin will be selected by experiment.3. The ballistic performance of composite have been influence by different molding process.The discrepancy will be compared by experiment.Considering the manufacture of boats and yachts,the percentage of resin have been determination.4. The stress,strain,failure of the target and the velocity,acceleration of projectile could be solved by numerical simulation,it's become more precision due to the fact that finite element method is applied. This subject adopt software of ansys ls-dyna to analogy the The stress,strain,failure process of composite.In that case,the initial velocity and the residual velocity of projectile could be solved. 5. Design method of brittle laminated plate and energy absorption laminate for ballistic performance and impact resistance have been adopt by the theory of structure design for target.Finite element method is used for the impact resistance by different stacking sequence of glass and aramid fiber reinforced plastics.
