Human is one of the most important reasons effecting road traffic safety. Because of staying in safe drive environment in a long term, some drivers' traffic safety awareness gradually fades, and drives illegally. Therefore improving drivers' traffic safety awareness is of great significance to reduce and prevent traffic accidents. Driving simulator was used to simulate dangerous traffic environment to make drivers experience the harm of illegal driving in virtual traffic scenarios. Through this driver training, the drivers'safety awareness could be effectively improved. The virtual traffic scenarios must be true, typical, and has a certain degree of risk to ensure the effect of driver training. This thesis analyzed road traffic accident data from several aspects such as human, vehicle, road environment and accident form, and the greatest impacts of traffic safety were selected. These factors were divided into static and dynamic characteristics, and were re-organized respectively. The typical static traffic environment and dynamic traffic events were designed based on these characteristics. The typical static traffic environment includes road, traffic ancillary facilities and constructions around the road; dynamic traffic event contains pedestrians, traffic and so on. The software of Civil 3D was used to design and make three-dimensional model of the road, and 3ds Max was used to make models of traffic ancillary facilities and constructions. Static traffic environment could be displayed by ORGE rendering engine in the emulator scene after designed data format conversion. The dynamic traffic events in typical traffic situation were completed through the interaction between the main program and dynamic scripting language of Lua. Every event was defined as conflict based on traffic conflict theory, and the interaction among every party may result in some consequences of the damage like accidents. The seriousness of the traffic conflict was measured by distance. Based on theoretical analysis of vehicle dynamics, vehicle braking and other related principles, the dynamic events were modeled with the main consideration of driver's braking operation after experiencing dynamic. The expected conflict point could be determined according to the trajectory of car and other objects in events. After the analysis of vehicle's braking process and conflict, the trigger conditions which could trigger the traffic events based on vehicle's real-time driving state were designed. And the motion state of objects in conflict was designed according to the vehicle braking time. This design was under the condition of objects do not change their trajectory; it includes design of objects'speed, acceleration. The case of pedestrians crossing the street was introduced. The actions of objects in conflict were divided into several motion states based on the idea of finite state machine, and the state switch conditions were set. All the statuses were linked up and became a complete sports action of an object. The vehicle operated by driver will be trained was called as "main vehicle", and objects conflict with main vehicle could be divided into pedestrians, non-motor vehicles and motor vehicle, and the corresponding dynamic traffic events were divided into "mobile vehicle-pedestrian conflict "," motor vehicle-non-motor vehicle conflict "and" motor vehicle-motor vehicle conflict ".Consideration the complexity and diversity of urban road environment, selected three types of dynamic events in city road scene as case, the design and implementation of these three traffic scenarios were introduced separately. The three traffic scenarios are:1) The conflict between the main vehicle and pedestrians in front of parking bus when pedestrians crossing street on the main road in city; 2) The conflict between the turn-right main vehicle and travel-straight non-motor vehicles on urban T-intersection; 3) The conflict between the main vehicle and starting vehicles which parked on urban common road. The starting vehicle was parking beside the road and started to enter the lane of main vehicle.
