Research On Cause And Grade Division Method Of Bird Damage In North China Power Grid

North China Power Grid shoulders the difficult task of supplying power to the capital, of Beijing, which means important economic and political significance. In recent years, the proportion of trip fault caused by bird damage in the North China Power trip fault increases every year. Trip fault caused by bird damage has become one of major fault types against a safe and stable power system operation. Although electricity sector has long taken a number of measures to defense bird damage, either insufficient protection result in that existing equipment useless against bird damage, or excessive protection leads to unnecessary economic losses. Therefore it is necessary to draw a bird damage classes zoning map for the power system, which is used to improve the pertinence of bird damage prevention work for power system, and to raise the efficiency of anti-bird damage device. Compared to more developed map of pollution areas and map of ice distribution which is actively developing, the development of technology of drawing map of bird damage distribution is slow, that as a starting point, the method of bird damage classification is researched in this paper.In this paper, through collecting and analyzing reports of trip fault caused by bird damage of North China Power in recent years and visiting and researching typical bird damage areas in north china, the rule between trip fault caused by bird damage and follow factors is found:different seasons, different time periods, the distance from tower to river, reservoir and pond and tower structure. The reason why trip fault caused by bird damage occurred frequently is analyzed.Using the method of comprehensive evaluation and the theory of weight coefficient, the assessment model of bird damage classification is built based on the distribution of the river and the structure of tower which reflect the regional distribution. The method of bird damage classification with four levels measured by index of bird damage class from the assessment model of bird damage classification is put forward.The historical data of trip fault caused by bird damage in this paper is from 2005 to the end of Aug.2010. To verify rationality of the assessment model of bird damage classification, the bird damage class of trip fault caused by bird damage happened on Cheng Long one line in Sup.2010 is computed.
