Wind power, the most ripe in new energy technologies and the most scale in commercial development in power mode, will also occupy an increasingly important position in the future energy structure. Wind resource is rich in China and has a great potential in development and utilization, which has a reality and far-reaching effects to the China's strategies of sustainable development and the west development.Tower is the main bearing structure to the wind power generation units. The security situation of the tower directly determines the safety of the whole wind turbine, and the importance of the tower increases with the power increasing of the wind turbine. If the tower design is unreasonable, it will cause the excessive vibration which can due to unmorally work, lower reliability and even overturn. With the growing scale of wind power generation units, the optimal design problem of the unite tower is becoming increasingly conspicuous. In order to reduce costs and the weight of the tower, it is necessary to the application of the new technology and the exploration research on the new design method. For this purpose, based on the aerodynamics theory, strength theory and structural dynamics theory, this paper establishes the three-D finite element model of wind power generation units tower with the ANSYS software, and carries on the static strength analysis and modal analysis of the tower. Also the paper makes a calculation on the tower stress, the tower top displacement as well as the tower top natural frequency. What's more, the paper makes a research on the stability, the earthquake spectrum analysis and so on, which provides a reliable basis in science to the analysis and design of the large wind generator set.Applied the detailed aerodynamics analysis on the tower loads and optimized tower mathematical model, this paper expands the depth and accuracy of the finite element analysis on designing the tower of the large wind turbine generator set.
