In recent years, with the rapid development of the national economy, the continuous improvement of the process of urbanization, emergence of tall building structures, and their structure and size changing, design research methods have also made great progress. Due to the restrictions on construction site conditions, and the need to use features, making increasingly complex plane and the vertical arrangement of the building, to structure appropriate parts add damping method of damper is emerging in recent years a new form of energy dissipation structures. This article is set on the bracket support with braces visco-elastic damper (VED), for seismic performance of steel frame structures with irregular conduct analysis and research on energy dissipation.Code for seismic design of this article combined with existing and current domestic and foreign research results, analyses of mechanical properties of visco-elastic damper and hysteretic model and discussion supporting system of calculation of energy dissipation models and performance characteristics. A 12-story irregular steel frame as the research object, SAP2000 finite element software, respectively, established a pure frame structure model, and set three different type of visco-elastic damper bracket braced steel frame structure model.And selects EL Centro, Tafa and the artificial wave three farm seismic waves, carries on the modality analysis, the structure dynamic performance to four models as well as meets, meets under the earthquake rarely the non-linear time interval analysis.Through the computed result contrast analysis, the discussion viscoelasticity attenuator knee brace support to the irregular steel frame earthquake resistance performance function, and further studies the different pattern the viscoelasticity attenuator knee brace support in the structure earthquake resistance characteristic, provides the mentality and the theory reference for the irregular steel structure viscoelasticity attenuator knee brace support design.
