Research On The Effective Of Traffic Signs Setting In Reconstruction And Extension Work Zone Of Highway

The highway is the national highway transportation network "artery"and plays a vital role in the development of national economy. Many China's highway are built in the 1990s, and now many have been near or more than the service life. Some highway traffic has already exceeded the design transportation capacity. To make the highway continued service for the economic and social activities, the reconstruction and extension has become a local and national pressing problem. How to secure vehicle safety in the precondition of not too lower the traffic capacity in the work zone is a technical problem. By the researches of traffic signs settings to the running influence in the work zone, the thesis discusses the effectiveness of traffic signs settings, and puts forward the optimize setting method in order to provide the reference. for the vehicle efficiency and security in the work zone.Based on a large number of the collections of information and documents, the thesis analyzes the current situation of traffic signs'setting,the work zone division and the kinds of signs setting, then puts forward the experiment scheme of traffic signs setting.Observing the experimental section of Xi-Yu highway and combining the result of mathematical statistics and theoretical analysis,the thesis evaluates the actual effect of traffic signs settings.Then puts forward the concept of "to reach speed limit by degrees" and reaserches the effect.of changing positions of the speed limit and adopting the new concept of speed limit in different weather. At last taking typical section of Xi-Yu highway for example, the thesis carries on classified optimized setting of traffic signs, combining the results of experiments, and reaserches several measures to enhance the traffic sign setting effect from the symbol layout, the symbol graticule's coordinate use, intelligent technology's application and correlation department's management and so on.
