Hydraulic system is the most important part of the wheel loader. Hydraulic system efficiency directly affects the efficiency of work and energy consumption. Low efficiency and large energy consumption of hydraulic system often leads to high temperature of hydraulic oil and then affects the influence of hydraulic system of the loader working normally. Most of 50 type wheel loaders are quantitative system in the domestic existing. Energy consumption is relatively serious. The analysis for the consumption of hydraulic system is not comprehensive. Due to working way of the loader and the complexity of the way the construction environment and diversification, the analysis of energy consumption for loader have not formed a complete or detailed system.In the paper, working device and steering vehicle are established by PRO/E software. The 3D model is leaded to ADAMS software so that the work device virtual prototyping model and steering vehicle virtual prototyping model can be established. At the same time, we get the corresponding state variables for co-simulation. Through using the software AMESim establish working device hydraulic system. And with the data interface between AMESim and ADAMS, mechanical system and loader hydraulic system of loader can be united. According to the operation condition of the loader working in common, such as:Insert,Rotating arm lifting,Unload,Moving arm down conditions and so on, we analyse all the conditions and get the parameters as like changing of pressure,flow of hydraulic system. And for every working condition, we statistics energy loss serious link for energy consumption. The main reason is that the steering pump and working pump have high-pressure overflowed phenomenon when they are working. And hydraulic systems generate large energy loss in a low pressure big flow.Through analysing the principle of priority valve and the working steering gear in the hydraulic system, steering hydraulic system including priority valve and steering gear will be established in the paper. As the same, the method of co-simulation is applied in the steering. According to particular condition, we get the changing pressure and flow in the steering hydraulic system when the loader are under different conditions respectively. And for the above every working condition, we analyze the changing of energy consumption and find the reasons of the low efficiency for steering hydraulic system. We analyze working characteristic of hydraulic system in the driving conditions. And we also analyze special condition that is the work hydraulic system and steering hydraulic system working together. Finally, we analyze the relationship between loader hydraulic system efficiency and operation method of loader.On the basis of analyzing loader hydraulic system, aiming at the low efficiency for working device hydraulic system and steering hydraulic system, puting the energy-saving as the primary goal, two methods are put forward to enhance efficiency of work device hydraulic system. And we analyze the working characteristics and energy consumption of the improvement hydraulic system in a particular condition. Through the comparative analysis, we validate that the improvement hydraulic system are really feasible, and effectively improving the efficiency of the hydraulic system, reducing the energy consumption. At the last, we do a steering experiment for the loader.And we get the dynamic characteristics of pressure, flow in the steering hydraulic system. The results of experiment validate that co-simulation models for the steering hydraulic system are correct and reasonable.
