Transmission is a significant component in the driveline of a vehicle, and the performance of gearshifting influences directly on the dynamic, economy, manoeuvre reliability in the course of driving. Due to the superb acceleration, quick gearshifting and low oil consumption, mechanical gearbox prevails favorably among various transmissions. The research deepened into MT is of great importance under the background of economical and environmental-friendly requirements.This dissertation is conducted relied on the school-enterprise joint project titled "Study on the performance of transmission" undertook by our mentor, and it deliberates the performance of gearshifting and its evaluation methods. Then the paper introduces the configuration of gearshifting performance testing bench for MT from the perspective of hardwares and softwares. For the hard wares, it and analyzes the composition, operating principle and actual operating principle of the shifting manoveuvre mechanism, as well as Yanhua PCL-839+ movement control card and PCI-1711 data acquisition card which are used to control the position of a stepper motor. When it comes to softwares, this thesis introduces Labview applied in the testing bench, meanwhile details the programming process of how the shifting manoveuvre mechanism realizes automatic shifting with a stepper motor based on Labview. What's more, it also explains the analysis procedure of experimental data after the presentation of main component in the testing bench..Finally, combined with GB/T 14775-93 of General Ergonomics Requirements for Controller and the theory of mechanical characteristics, this thesis studies the evaluation methods on comfortableness during shifting in the MT from the aspects of operation force, linearity of force-stroke stiffness and the impact of force variable ratio on the comfortableness of gearshifting.
