The important machineries of power plants and power companies are power equipments, most of them are rotating machinery, which plays an important role in the production, monitoring equipment the production operation and diagnosis of equipment faults in a timely manner to avoid causing economic loss and prevent physical harm, the expert system of fault diagnosis using computer simulation of human experts to diagnose faults quickly and accurately identify faults and reduce the loss of business, the research on expert system of vibration diagnosis for rotating machinery has great significance.In the paper, application C++Builder and the Access database to develop vibration diagnosis expert system, important parts of rotating machines including the rotor, bearings, gears and motors four parts, setting the parameters of the components and calculating the failure frequency, storage to the device properties database; summarizing characteristics of typical faults, fault causes and measures to eliminate the fault for various components, storing in the Access data table in the form of production rules to form a diagnostic knowledge base; reasoning and diagnosis application of positive and negative hybrid approach, when fault diagnosis, the first inputting signal, through spectrum analysis of the vibration signal for the rotor, bearings, gears, identifying failure symptoms of diagnostic object, mainly fault frequency and amplitude, and then correspondly searching the diagnostic knowledge stored in diagnostic knowledge base, as the complexity of the diagnostic object fault feature is different, forward reasoning or forward-backward hybrid reasoning, obtaining diagnostic results that the fault type, listing the diagnostic basis and measures to eliminate the fault, and formation of diagnostic reports. System through four diagnostic examples of the rotor, bearings, gears verification, showing that develop and design of vibration diagnosis expert system, rational and scientific in design, friendly in diagnostic interface, rich in diagnostic knowledge, easy in maintenance and management, quickly and accurately diagnose in common faults of parts, appliance various kinds of powerful functions in C++Builder and the Access database.
