With China entering WTO, China's foreign trade volume continued to increase. The shipping industry as the main channel in the foreign trade have a rapid development. However, The container shipping market has also been developed rapidly. At the same time, global investment in large container ships are increasing, the port as the container transportation's node has also been greatly affected. The rate of container's upset in the container yard not only have great influence to the operation efficiency but also have great influence to the speed and affluent of shipment. However, The rate of container's upset have great meaning to the container yard and the shipping company.Firstly,the passage give a analysis to the container's upset, at the same time, elaborating the important of reducing the upset number and the current state of the problem, introduce the research results of the problem in Domestic and Foreign. Then introduce the concept of upset operation and the reasons of the operation's generation. Introduced the influence of container's upset on the efficiency of yard operations and the impact of parking time separately through analysis the impact of the upset operation on the efficiency of yard operations.Secondly, the passage carry out a deep analysis to the applicable conditions,stage of division,state selection,decisions and strategies of the Dynamic Programming, this analysis lay a solid mathematical foundation for solving this problem. Then describe the essence of the problem, introduce the relationship among the target container,must be overturned container,jam-up container through a specific stockpiling state. Elaborating how to deal with the relationship of the three kinds of container when doing the container's upset operation. Then give the selection principle of the position that be overturned container and the detailed analysis of the principle.Finally, analyze the actual state of container's bay and choosing the position for the overturned container on the basis of the selection principle, so as to get the different state of the stage. Then getting a directed weight figure through connect the different state from the first stage to the last stage. Giving a new way of Dynamic Programming according to the idea of parallel processing, and solving the problem in the new way. Then obtain the best strategy to make the total number least for the processing of container's upset.
