Study On The Urban Land Use Change Of Chongqing Based On The Urban System

There are many changes of urban land use with the urbanization process presently in our country. The urban land use change needs to be adapt to the development of economy and society in every city. Chongqing is the largest municipality in China. There are many changes of polity, society, economic and surroundings since 1997. With the driving forces of the westland cpenning up and Three Gorges project, economic develops rapidly, and the urbanization always improves in Chongqing. Because the scale and quantity of cities and towns is increased, the function of cities and towns is developed, so the ubran system is formed. There are many changes of urban land use in this process. This study analyzes the urban land use change of Chongqing based on the ubran system, and tries to find out the relations between the urban land use change and the development of economy and society.The urban land use includes the land of city, town, the manualfactories and mines based on made by the Ministry of Country and Resource in 2001. The data is rooted in the land utilization change cruising data (year 1997-2008) from the office of country and build management in Chongqing.There are three grades in urban system of Chongqing in this study. This study analyzes the character of the urban land use actualities and the dynamic changes. And this study tries to find out the relations between the urban land use change and the development of economy and society, based on the development of economy and society in the cities of different grade. Three aspects of work are done in this study.(1) The frame of urban system in Chongqing:There are "especially great city-middling city-small city" three grades cities in the ubran system of Chongqing. There are only one especially great city-the urban region, six middling cities including Wanzhou, Jiangjin, Fuling, Hechuan, Yongchuan and Qianjiang,25 small cities including the rest counties.Because there are no big cities, so the structure of the ubran system is not full. The ubran system distributing in space is not rational. The density of cities is big in western area and small in eastern area. The urban region and 4 center cities of the stated region are in the western area, and Wanzhou is in the northeastern area, Qianjiang is in the southeastern area. The proportion about the area of urban land of the whole city in the urban region, center cities of the stated region, suburb is 44.72%,20.91%,34.37% separately. The city which has the most area of the urban land is the urban region, the next one is suburb, and the last one is the center cities of the stated region.(2) The urban land use change of cities of different grade form 1997-2008:The change of area and structure of urban land:The proportion of the increase urban land of the whole in the urban region, the center cities of the stated region, suburb is 46.65%,23.61%,29.74% separately. The city which has the most increse of the urban land is the urban region, the next one is suburb, and the last one is the center cities of the stated region. Based on the increase of the three components of the urban land, the urban region has the most increase of the land of city and the manualfactories and mines. And suburb has the most increase of the land of town.The average increase of the urban land of the center cities of the stated region is 2513.03 hektare more than suburb's 759.73 hektare. The average increase of the land of city and manualfactories and mines of the center cities of the stated region is more than suburb's. The average increase of the land of town of suburb is more than the land of town of the center cities of the stated region.The speed of urban land use change:The city which has the largest speed of the urban land increase is the center cities of the stated region, the next one is the urban region, the last one is suburb. From the view of three components of the urban land, there is the largest speed of the land increase of city in the center cities of the stated region, the largest speed of the land increase of town in suburb, the largest speed of the land increase of the manualfactories and mines in the urban region. (3) The intensivism efficiency of urban land:The city which has the highest intensivism efficiency of urban land is the center cities of the stated region, the next one is the urban region, the last one is suburb, with the analysis of the efficiency of urban land use and the increase coefficient between the urban land change and the development of economy and society. The urban land use change is adapt to the development of economy and society in every grade city. Because the urban region as only one especially great city, has the highest urbanization and the best development of economy and society, so the area and increase of the urban land is most. Because the center cities of the stated region as middling city, have the highest intensivism efficiency, so the speed of urban land increase is largest with the rapid urbanization. Comparative with suburb, because the collectivity of the urban population, the input and output of economy in the center cities of the stated region is less than suburb, so the area and increase of the urban land is less than suburb. But the average level of the development of economy and society in the center cities of the stated region is more than suburb, and the average area and increase of the urban land is more than suburb. Because suburb as small city, has the lowest urbanization and the worset development of economy and society, so the speed of urban land increase is least in the primary step of urbanization.
