With the rapid development of urban economy and the quick step of urbani zation in our country, the urban traffic problem becomes more and more serious. Urban land use is the root cause of traffic problems. Probe into urban transport ation and land use of the interaction between, through two questions and condu cting research, the use of limited land resources to meet the urban needs of urb an development, urban transport problems resolved in a reasonable manner, so as to promote the health and sustainable development of cities.Urban transportation and urban land use has been the relationship between urban planning is one of the focus of the study. Foreign research and planning p ractice shows that land use and transport has a very close relationship.Based on urban transportation and urban land-use interactive relationship analysis, the public transport-oriented development strategy for urban land use and urban land use and urban space layout of the traffic between these two aspects of the study. On this basis,our country proposed the establishment of transit-oriented model and the need for some of the recommendations and measures, and through different means of transportation on urban land use and density of the layout,and the ex pansion of urban land use patterns and urban traffic pattern analysis,Analysis of the suits China's urban transport solution.In addition, the paper through the empirical study of Xi'an further detailed a nalysis of the transport system in Xi'an city and urban land use situation. The use of public transport-oriented development strategy for urban land use and urban land-use and urban space layout of the traffic between the two issues of the oretical research, with the specific situation in Xi'an, put forward some of own solutions and recommendations.
