Transportation and human daily life. In most large and medium cities, with the gradual improvement of socio-economic level and the continuous development of automobile industry, the rapid increase in the number of private cars, more and more urban road congestion caused by those who travel a longer travel time, which will lead lower social productivity, increase noise and environmental pollution. How to effectively relieve traffic congestion, improve the efficiency of transportation systems traffic engineers and researchers as the primary concern. Traditionally, the congestion problems on the physical expansion of road network to deal with, but this method is not only expensive, damage to the urban environment, ease traffic congestion and its effects are very limited, so this method has rarely been considered. Another way to alleviate congestion is to increase the utilization of existing transport resources, the implementation of reasonable traffic control strategies. With the computer information processing from strength to strength and electronic technology, the continuous development of advanced control theory, which more and more world attention to the transport sector and researchers.There is no doubt that intersection signal control as a major component of traffic management unit, in the city traffic play an important role in how to establish an accurate and effective intelligent signal control system of urban traffic management is of great significance.Fuzzy logic in a single intersection signal control of two mainaspects, one is the green light for the current phase delay control,the other is the optimization of traffic signal phase sequencecontrol. Existing traffic signal phase fuzzy control methods arejumping and auto production. The former is based on the currenttraffic flow data from the default, select the next phase of the signalphase, if the default queue up the next phase of fewer vehicles, thechoice to skip the phase of the phase of the vehicle to run longerqueue length, thus changing the phase sequence; the latter is notthe default phase, according to the needs of traffic flow in real timeto determine the next phase. Optimization of these aspects can be misleading pedestrians and drivers, more suitable for pedestriansand non-motor vehicles less intersection signal control. Thischapter presents a number of factors based on fuzzy controlalgorithm for a single intersection signal. Consider the weather, traffic and the bus station and other factors, through the minimum phase time guarantee the safe passage of pedestrians and non-motor vehicle crossings. Improve the existing method of fuzzy control signal phase in order to maintain the original phase without changing, according to real-time traffic flow data, delay and phaseby optimizing the green light to make the system dynamically respond to changes in traffic flow. This method can improve thegreen time utilization, thereby reducing the average vehicle delaytime.Microscopic traffic simulation program Flowsim as an unbiasedtool to assess the different scenarios the same traffic signal controlscheme. Respectively, the ordinary fuzzy control algorithm, based on multiple factors, fuzzy control algorithm is simulated underdifferent conditions.
