Flywheel battery is a new kind of battery, it has break through the traditional method of chemical energy storage, the electrical energy is stored in the form of mechanical energy. Flywheel battery has many of advantages of high energy density,long life, wide temperature range, high efficiency, easy to measure energy, no pollution, therefore, people pay much attention to it. At present ,the flywheel battery has been used in uninterruptible power supplies, power systems, hybrid locomotives and other application areas.Energy conversion system is key to charging and discharging of flywheel battery.At first,this article combines with the specific requirements of flywheel battery-powered motor and analysised several characteristics of the motor. By comparison, permanent magnet brushless synchronous motor is selected as the flywheel battery motor. For permanent magnet brushless synchronous motor, three options of energy conversion of flywheel battery is proposed to,and working principle and mathematical model of PWM converter is also analyzed.The main task is to put forward the scheme that flywheel battery is used in mobile power as uninterrupted power supply application .dsPIC30F3011 of Mircrochip is used for controller of flywheel battery control system, three-phase full-bridge IGBT inverter circuit and uncontrolled rectifier bridge is used for main circuit.This paper concentrates on the real-time control system design and energy feedback technology research,and then MATLAB/Simulink and hardware platform of dsPIC30F3011 is used to resrarch.The result shows the scheme is correct.Therefore,the control system of flywheel battery has project feasibility.
