In accordance with the market requirements, we need to design a new type of vehicle, and its body has the ability of protection and withstanding large loads .Taking into account the large quality of the bullet-proof body, we can not ensure the frame meets the requirement if we load the protection body directly on the existing frame. The frame of the Light sport utility vehicle is the carrying matrix, and the structure of the performance affects the normal driving. Therefore, we need to redesign and reanalysis the structure of frame. As protection body itself has a certain stiffness, so we need to consider the impact of the body stiffness on the vehicle when we analyze the stiffness and strength of the frame .The frame and body is connected through suspension, the elastic connections and the rigid connections need to be taken into account. The foamed aluminum in transportation applications has been significant development, but it is not applied in the frame as a new type of filler material. Finally we also consider its application in the frame analysis. This off-road vehicles in accordance with a light frame structure, and creates a three-dimensional model in CATIA . through the finite element analysis software HyperWorks we discrete finite element model. Finite element model need to consider the simplified structure, unit selection and grid inspection, connection of the simulation and so on. Then, according to the process of moving vehicles in the force and a variety of working conditions, considering the load frame to sustain a larger impact load in the finite element model of loading and set constraints on the finite element model of the frame, and we do the stiffness strength analysis, modal analysis, the results showed that meet the conditions of use. Also we compared the difference between the elastic connections and the rigid connections .The results of this study indicate the best choice for elastic connection. Finally, we discuss the foamed aluminum in the feasibility, and the results show that do not applied.
