A new power supply system for Communication base station is mainly composed of Solar panels, wind turbines, diesel generator, batteries and switch controller .It uses solar panels or wind turbines to generate power to charge the batteries when there are plenty of wind or light. It uses batteries to provide power for the Communication base station .when the battery power is not sufficient, it uses diesel generators as a backup power supply. So the proper choice of the capacity of solar panels, batteries, wind turbines, diesel generator and its working style of each part play a crucial role in system stabilizing.This design mainly bases on the 20A/48V Communication base station which lies in the coastal areas of Fujian, Pingtan. In this paper It also discusses the chosen and calculation of each power supply equipments. Such as the choice of Solar panels, wind turbines diesel generator and battery and so on. This design chooses 12V/120W solar panels to consist a solar output array of four series of ten parallel, it also chooses 7 wind turbines in parallel. In this system it uses switch control unit to switch the suitable charging circuit for batteries of 2 parallel which has capacity of 800AH in each series.The system uses a 12KW diesel generators as back-up power for Communication base station.This design contains a DC distribution box which can ensure the stabilizing of power supply system in different climate. This design also contains a solar controller which mainly based on a Chip of SG3525. this solar controller uses Solar panels output voltage detection, a the battery voltage detection and battery charge current detection which can change the changing solar panels output voltage that is below 48V into a stable 48V DC to charge the batteries through a BOOST circuit, in this paper it also designs a analog circuit of SPWM and a single-phase bridge inverter circuit of 200W, which can change the batteries voltage of DC-48V into AC-220V/50HZ.
