Based On The Concept Of Ecological Planning And Design Of Campus

Recently, China has put forward strategy of invigorating the country through science, technology and education which has brought about great opportunities for the development of higher education and the flourishing construction of ecology universities. Ecology universities which are of great ecological value and application prospect of academic research have become the most significant way of coordinating campus culture, human ethics and ecological environment. With the development of higher education, various universities have started to alternate or extend the original campus scale, or acquisition of large areas of land to build a new campus, all of which faced with the campus planning. Because most of newly acquired lands in the city suburbs are of large scale and most of them are farmland, they might cause long-lasting and far-reaching impact on ecological environment of the given region of the city and even the whole if we ignored the ecological effects caused by functional change of land use in the campus planning and design process.This paper disuses the significance of constructing ecology universities in the context of improving the ecological environment, maintaining the harmonious relationship between man and nature and sustainable development. It reviews the domestic and international development of universities and analyzes the characteristics of campus construction, which combined with the case of Fujian Institute of New Campus planning. Meanwhile, this paper that combined with the theory of landscape, architecture, Landscape Architecture and urban planning comes up with a modern theory of Opening University and a new trend in the development of university construction; it also studies on the planning theories of ecology universities in campus location, the overall layout of the campus, campus traffic organization, campus greening system, school space, school buildings and so on, which explores an vital theory in creating special campus.
