With the rapid development of transport, the length of road tunnel is Increasing. In the context of energetically promoting low-carbon society, it is particularly important to research new road tunnel ventilation technology. This paper based on the DaBie Mountains highway tunnel, study the U-type complementary longitudinal ventilation mode when the wind volume demand of left and right tunnel to be quite different.The paper introduces the development and research of road tunnel ventilation technology at home and abroad. And with the theory of tunnel ventilation, using the method of combining numerical simulation and physical model test, study U-type complementary longitudinal ventilation system of highway tunnel with non-symmetric wind volume demand. The paper outlines the basic principles and application conditions of U-type complementary longitudinal ventilation mode, and determines the setting range and designing wind volume of air exchange ventilation cross-channel, and evaluates from the view of technical, economic and security point. It takes using of fluid dynamics software CFDesign to simulate the whole system of ventilation, and outputs the distance of cross-channel. Through the tunnel ventilation physical model system, it verifies the applicability of U-type complementary longitudinal ventilation mode. It analyzes the rescue mode in different operating times when fire occurs in different sections of tunnel.
