In recent years, with the rapid development of highway construction, highway service areas also received an unprecedented opportunity for development, playing an increasingly important role in economy. As the main service window of the highway, function facilities and the service area scale adaptability reflects the highway's image and service levels. Therefore, the level of highway service area service is becoming increasingly important topic.Thesis highway service area of the service level classification for the premise, by examining the level of service in all facilities, in-depth research services within the level of contact with the traffic, try to make the critical traffic, through the calculated critical traffic related facilities, and service facility to compare the current traffic volume, and then determine the current level of service facilities. If the service area of the service level is too low, can be optimized for the service area to provide guidance to rebuilding and expansion.Thesis using the queuing theory to carry out research on the service area of the parking facilities and gas stations Queuing Analysis:(1) based on the characteristics of service area facilities to determine the level of service facilities in various forms, quantize the quantify of the critical point at all levels.(2) select queuing model for each the appropriate facility, established the corresponding relationship between critical traffic and service level.provide the criterion for evaluat service area server level through critical traffic eventually.(3) After the establishment of theoretical research and modeling, verify its applicability and accuracy by the empirical analysis.
