The Influence Of One-way Traffic Management Way For Urban Roads’ Service Level

Nanchang——capital of Jiangxi province, in recent years, the old town has serioustraffic congestion problem, optimizing traffic management is imminent. Increasing roadresources is one of the ways to solve the congestion, but there are so many problems such ashigh cost of construction or long construction period during the road builting process, makingthe speed of building roads far from meeting the increasing requirements of vehicle. And thetraffic investment of the government is very limited, so how to use the limited financialresources to maximize the service level of the road is a big problem. This paper mainlystudies the influences of the service level in using simple one-way traffic management wayfor the existing roads.Through the theory analysis and simulation, in case of the10different kinds of turningtwo-way to one-way traffic conditions, this article focuses on the analysis of sections, signalintersection, no signal crossings’capacityand the load changes, thus obtaining the changedegree of the corresponding service level, and getting the optimal way to change. The secondchapter introduces the one-way traffic management way; the third chapter introduces theurban road service level evaluation index, classification, load degrees is the main evaluationindex of the roads and the intersection, at the circumstances of unchanging flow, the change ofthe traffic capacity leads to the change of the load degree, in other words the service levelchanges, and therefore this chapter emphatically introduces and analyzes the calculationmethods of the sections, signal intersection, no signal crossing capacity and their influencingfactors;the fourth chapter,through combining with the measured data of nanchang city,theoretical calculation and simulation,on the implementation of one-way traffic managementway,analyzes the capacity, load degrees and service level of the sections, signal intersection,no signal crossing detaily; the fifth chapter studies when extending to the whole old citynetwork, the service level of the roads and intersections under the existing network condition,improving network condition, improving network condition+increase one-way roads threelevels, and puts forward the improvement measures.
