Using the Waste tire to Pave the road surfaee,can improve the quality of highway engineering and prolong the service life of the road. It is according with national basic strategy about saving resources and protecting the environment. This paper studies the factors affecting the performance of rubber asphalt, rubber asphalt mortar and road performance of the mixture.This paper adopts conventional tests and SHRP tests to analyze the factors which affecting the performance of rubber asphalt and then sorting.Points out the compatibility problems which exist in the production process of rubber asphalt. The mode of production of entity engineering should be determined according to laboratory test and economic-technical index.Combining with mortar theory and the reaction mechanism of rubber asphalt, here uses the shear strength and pull strength to evaluate the performance of rubber asphalt mortar, and then puts forward that the rubber asphalt mortar which is consist of rubber powder and filler should be togetherd as a dispersed phase.The disperse phase is viewed as a micro-dispersed system that exist in asphalt medium.This paper adopts SGC to mold rubber asphalt mixture specimens, and test compaction property and mechanical strength, through Hamburg wheel tracking test to assess the high temperature performance and water stability of rubber asphalt mixture. it is obtained that the gap grading show good performance. At the same time, analyzes the effect of rubber powder status on compaction characteristic and road performance of mixture.Considering the characteristics of rubber asphalt mortar and mixture, here defines a scale factor r:f as the ratio of rubber powder dosage and mineral filler dosage, analysises the status and function of rubber powder and mineral filler in asphalt mortar and mixture under the different r:f. Basing on road performance and durability, and considering the common function of mineral filler and rubber powder during the design of rubber asphalt mixture, finally puts forward the reference value range of r:f.
