This paper, taking the Sifang gold tailings as an example,which lies in the grassland ditch in Fengxian, Shaanxi Province, research in-depth systematicly the dynamic mechanical properties of the fine-grained tailings soil, by the method that combines the field testing, the laboratory tests, theoretical analysis and engineering practice.This major work done and results achieved in the paper are as follows:(1) By the field tests and laboratory tests, researched the natural physical and mechanical properties of the fine-grained tailings soil, obtained the particles composition law of the the fine-grained tailings soil, and the indicators of the natural physical and mechanical about it.(2) Though understanding the history of the dynamic triaxial test, cleared the current type of dynamic triaxial test apparatus, composition and test coverage, determined finally this study of dynamic properties about the fine-grained tailings soil using the GDS triaxial apparatus and the TYS-20 dynamic triaxial testing machine, and the relevant test conditions.(3) Though the GDS triaxial apparatus and the TYS-20 triaxial test machine carried out a series test of dynamic characteristics about the fine-grained tailings soil, researched the dynamic mechanical properties of the fine-grained tailings soil, obtained the deformation patterns and dynamic mechanical properties of indicators and their mutual relations about the fine-grained tailings soil in the dynamic conditions.(4) By the Duncan-Chang hyperbolic model theory, analysised in-depthly and calculated rigorously the dynamic triaxial test data about the fine-grained tailings soil, obtained the Duncan-Chang hyperbolic model parameters about the fine-grained tailings soil, in the dynamic conditions.
