Shanghai residential development was influenced by traditional etiquette culture strict level of bondage and new building technical knowledge after port-opening, especially by the reform and opening by western modernism architectural culture, a qualitative change have happened. The traditional form of scattered type low-rise residential density, gradually to senior housing morphology development of urbanization, in order to adapt to the urban population continued to bring lots of concentration. The modern city residential life was influenced by traditional ideas, western culture, modern science, technology and so on. National traditional context in urban residential building and life gradually lose meanwhile the living environment, life quality and fit gradually increase.New style lilong residential form is essential in Shanghai residential development process, and it is one of the house types with time characteristics, in eastern and western west culture blends with the particular historical period.Through comparing the high-rise modern residential we can find that the new lilong residence's neighborhood culture can not only provide more cultural nutrition, but also breakthrough time limitations by modern multi-function public space. Facing the requirements of The Times of a continuation of the modem city residential context, introduce "Ended type lane" concept of lilong culture to high-rise residence, re-division of big range to meet area, form close bond of Regional group and unobstructed contact between group, promoted neighborhood relations by the composition of spatial domains. Finally, in multiple factors in modem city residential life , reflects more nationalization life characteristics.
