At present,the more Automatic transmission for vehicles are AT which is more complex and less flexible in structure, higher in manufacturing cost, worse in control frequency response characteristics. To aim at the current situation of China's Automatic transmission and the task to achieve simple structure and software of shift control, through the analysis and research on the development of Automatic transmission and related material. This research group carry out the development and research of Automated Electric implementing agencies transmission combining with actual situation. Electromagnetic clutch is the core of the new Automatic transmission, so the precise control of Electromagnetic clutch is the key to insuring performance of the new automatic transmission. It directly affects the stability and ride of the start-up and operation for the vehicle.This paper analyzes structural characteristics and working principle of the new Automated Electric implementing agencies transmission to determine the function of electromagnetic clutch which is core components of the new Automatic transmission and make the control requirements of electromagnetic clutch.Using MATLAB/Simulink establishes simulation model of electromagnetic force and transfer torque according to the mechanical formula of magnetic, electromagnetic force and transfer torque for electromagnetic clutch and the torque property of Friction-type electromagnetic clutch. It shows the approximate linear relationship between the excitation current and the transmission torque through simulation through simulation of the model.The control system of Electromagnetic clutch which is composed of sensors, ECU and drive components is designed according to the control requirements. To aim at more serious nonlinearity and the difficulty of obtaining accurate mathematical model of the driver circuit for electromagnetism clutch, it's proposed to use fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm for the system with the closed-loop control to ensure its normal and effective work.The Fuzzy adaptive PID controller for excitation current-conditioning system is designed through a detailed analysis of the selection of fuzzy variables, determination of membership function, the generation of control rules, fuzzy reasoning and fuzzy operations, etc. Using MATLAB/Simulink establishes PID control and Fuzzy adaptive PID control simulation model of the drive circuit for bonding strength of the Electromagnetic clutch. In addition, the double closed-loop system simulation model for Torque and current is also established.The results of simulation show that the control system can achieve fast or slow combination control and transmission torque capacity control of the electromagnetic clutch which is bonding strength control of electromagnetic clutch. The results of simulation also show that the fuzzy self-adjusting PID controller has better dynamic response curvy, smaller overshoot, shorter response time, higher steady-state accuracy, better static and dynamic performance comparing with the traditional PID controller. It ensures the stationary of combination for electromagnetic clutch to extend the life of the clutch and the performance of new Automatic transmission.
