| Automated Mechanical Transmission(AMT) is formed by combining Automatic Shift Control System(ASCS) with the traditional fixed axis mechanical transmission. AMT is suitable for the actual condition of China .It has potential market and promising future. At present, there are two major problems affecting the development of ASCS technology: the starting process of clutch control; the cost and reliability of the system.The most complex part in ASCS is clutch control, which, in the mean while, is the key technology of realizing automatic control of AMT of vehicles. The paper probes into the issue of vehicle dynamics in clutch engagement process. It makes an analysis of friction torque transmission, the affecting factor of friction torque and the effect of friction torque transmission on driving intention, impact degree and service life of clutch. The fuzzy control strategy of clutch is proposed. The strategy controls the rotation speed difference between engine and the clutch drive mechanism distance increment. It makes it possible to satisfy the requirement of controlling smoothly and fast. It also needs less input information in the control processing.The fuzzy control instrument is designed for researching the possible of clutch fuzzy control strategy. The test results have proved the validity and rationality by means of MATLAB/Simulink to set up a vehicle startups simulation model. In addition, the adaptive control strategy is proposed based on the complicate environment of vehicles startups. The paper proposes an optimal clutching strategy, which takes the input axis rotation speed increment in on it time as the control target, the rotation speed difference between engine and the clutch input axis as input reference. The strategy makes the control system adapt to the complicate environment and have more practical values. |
