Automated Mechanical Transmission(AMT)is an automatic transmission that is equipped with a microcomputer control system on the traditional manual transmission to replace the separate clutch and select shift mode of the conventional clutch to realize clutch separation and engagement.The automation of the gears improves the power or economy of the vehicle and reduces the difficulty of the driver's operation.But AMT still has a number of key technologies to address,such as clutch control strategies and gearbox selection shift control strategies.Among them,the quality of clutch engagement can directly affect the performance of AMT.This paper mainly studies the AMT clutch control.The main contents are as follows:(1)Taking the diaphragm spring clutch as the research object,the vehicle powertrain model is established and simplifying its model,studying the clutch mechanism characteristics,analyzing the clutch execution motor model,and designed the clutch linear drive actuator.By analyzing the vehicle powertrain model and the structure and transmission characteristics of the clutch,the clutch diaphragm spring structure,elasticity and torque transfer characteristics,the importance of the clutch engagement force on the clutch engagement quality is obtained.The clutch linear drive actuator is modeled and analyzed.The linear drive mode of the brushless DC motor is used to convert the rotary motion of the motor into a straight line to drive the fork to promote clutch separation and engagement,and improve the efficiency and quick engagement of the clutch actuator.(2)Analyze the clutch engagement process,the clutch engagement process is divided into three stages,five clutch characteristic engagement force trajectories are established,and the simulation results of the influence of five characteristic force trajectories on the clutch engagement quality at the start of the vehicle are obtained by vehicle power simulation software(the dynamic response of the clutch main and driven disc speed and torque,and the acceleration and impact of the vehicle starting,etc.),and the joint quality is analyzed to obtain the clutch optimal engagement force trajectory.(3)In order to realize the clutch optimal force trajectory and improve the clutch engagement quality,establishing the control model of the clutch execution motor by simulation software,and controlling the motor model by Mamdani fuzzy algorithm and T-S fuzzy algorithm.The simulation results show that the designed T-S fuzzy control system model has good dynamic response and realizes the requirements of motor control.(4)In order to verify the effectiveness of the control system and the optimal result of the force trajectory,establish the AMT clutch test bench,design the clutch execution motor control software and hardware system to control the clutch separation and engagement in real time.Through the AMT powertrain experimental bench,the superiority of the clutch engagement force trajectory and the feasibility and effectiveness of the control strategy are verified.
