The vierendeel sandwich plate structure combined with U-section steel and concrete by coupling bolt is a new type of long span floor structure which proposed by domestic scholars. The new type structure was firstly applied in the design of the second floor and third floor of the new gymnasium of the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in 2007. The plane axis size of the structure is 39m×57m+36 m×57m, which is the largest span in the domestic multi-layer floor structure at present. The finite element simulation analysis and field experimental study are used in this study to investigate the static and dynamic characteristics of the new type combination structure, including the design theory and analysis method of the new type floor structure, the unloading scheme of the bracing system and the security and amenity of the floor structure.Firstly, the beam element model and beam-shell element model are established to study the mechanism properties of the new type of composite vierendeel sandwich plate structure in this paper. The deformation regularity and the dynamic characteristic of the structure are discussed mainly. The process of unloading is also analyzed by the simulation analysis. Then, based on the results of the finite element analysis, the whole process of felid unloading is measured to monitoring the change of the deflection of the floor and the strain of the U-section steel. The purpose of the filed test is to validate whether the rigidity and strength of the structure are satisfied with the design norms and whether the finite element model and the unloading plan are reasonable. At last, the field dynamic test is carried out to analyze the dynamic characteristic and evaluate the vibration serviceability of the floor structure.In view of the first application of the new type combination floor structure in the actual project, the conclusion established in this paper can offer valuable suggestions for the design and norm compilation of the structure which can actively promote the development of the structure, and also benefit in saving land resource and project investment.
