Suspen-dome is n novel and reasonable of long-span hybrid space structure based upon the spherical lattice shell and the tensegrity system, and it can cross a larger span reasonably, economically and grandly with advantages of reasonable force flow, high rigidity, low weight and simple construction. On the basis of Dalian gymnasium, a number of key issues in the construction of suspen-dome are further studied , the construction process simulation technology and construction of pre-set deformation analysis are discussed. The structure construction test and static load test were studied for a scaled model of Dalian gymnasium. These conclusion of the research can provide technical reference for the construction of the suspen-done.Firstly, the concept, characteristic and application for actual engineering of the this kind of structure are analyzed. Summary about the civil present research work is made in terms of construction method related to suspend-dome. The necessity of the whole construction process analysis for suspen-dome is definite. Based on the suspend-dome structure in the project of Dalian gymnasium, A part by part construction scheme is presented in theory. The prestress analysis of the initial state and the construction process state was made by the accelerated convergence tension-compensation method, and then the positive direction construction simulation was analyzed for the suspend-dome through a series of tension control value of construction, form which the characteristic responses of key parts of Structure in the construction can be got. These results were used to guide the prestressed construction of the structure.Secondly, the theory about the pre-set deformation analysis was summarized, and the normal iterative method was proposed as a good method for the pre-set deformation analysis of the long-span suspen-dome. The pre-set deformation analysis of the Dalian gymnasium suspen-dome structure was proceeded, to ensure the shape of the structure after construction to meet the requirements.Finally, a scaled model structure with 1/10 scale was made according to practical structure. Structure construction under 2 sorts of construction schemes, which were tension diagonal cable and struts lifting installation, and structural static performance under design load case were studied. Through the test of two tensioning schemes, the theory for the construction simulation was verified. And through the static load test, the reasonableness of this structure was verified.
