With the rapid development of information technology, the project cost information management mode of modern enterprise can't satisfy the needs of engineering cost management. China petroleum engineering cost management informationization is still in the primary stage, so it is imminent to exploring and establishing an appropriate engineering cost management information system.The object of this paper is about the petrochemical engineering cost management information system. This paper analyzed the present situation and its cause of PetroChina Jinxi petrochemical engineering Company cost management informationization construction based on the current situation and development trend of informatization construction of engineering cost management theory, and brought forward the corresponding solution. We hope that this research is beneficial to the exploration of the suitable mode for petroleum refining enterprise engineering cost management information system in China and the petroleum refining enterprise project cost management of the construction of information platform.Engineering cost management information system theory is firstly reviewed, about the project cost management, informationization, engineering cost management information system and its related concepts. Secondly,the situation and existing problems of China petroleum and petrochemical engineering cost information and analyses, especially of Jinxi petrochemical engineering cost management informatization construction. After that the possible causes and resolutions are discussed for Jinxi petrochemical engineering cost of infomationization construction. At last, Jinxi petrochemical engineering cost of infomationization construction scheme and the expected effect are evaluated.
