With the developing of our national grid, engineers/operators at the development of the relay protection, automation of substation are taking more responsibility of security, stability at the same time, the technology of the relay protection and automatic devices are becoming more complex,which require more operational skills training to the operators. However,the training of our relay protection, automation professionals are mostly based on theoretical study and on-site valet study currently,which is obviously insufficient.Therefor, an efficient, comprehensive, systematic training platform is urgently needed for the training of relay protection, automation professionals.In this thesis, the main functions of the Power Simulation training system around the world are summarized firstly. Based on the full analysis of the relay professional training, Relay Protection Training System is designed by the electromagnetic transient simulation and digital-physical hybrid simulation is thoroughly done. Also, the comparison with RTDS system demonstrates the system developed by this is better. The overall design of the system relay protection training program and its key technology are analysed detaily. The system developed by this thesis, has been successfully applied and are running in the Training Center of Tianjin Electric Power Corporation for nearly a year, and has achieved excellent result.
