| In the past decade, many cities have built or revised a large number of public bath buildings. Improvement of living standards and high spiritual needs of citizens promote the functions and architectural forms of bathing space. However, due to the rapid development of bath space, as well as lack of a summary of relevant building designs and improvements, there is a general problem in bathing space designs. In this thesis, the author firstly studies spatial functions, flow lines and security issues of the bathing space, uses the post evaluation theory and method of use, then, the author analyses the successes and shortages of bath building designs, at last, the author suggests the improvements. The results of this research can provide a theoretical basis for new public bath buildings, avoid common problems in architectural designs, save financial resources, and enable the new bath features more applicable and more reasonable cost and more convenient and safer. In this thesis, the author uses the post evaluation theory and method of use to research the psychological behaviors, building functions, pedestrian flows and security issues of people in bath buildings. The author use site visits, questionnaires and interviews to collect and summarize feedback information of users. The author uses scientific and systematic analysis of data research and gets the relationship between the needs of users and bath space designs to provide scientific and objective basis of bath space designs. The thesis is divided into the following five parts: The first part: IntroductionThis section is the problem part of the thesis. The author introduces the research background, research purposes, theoretical and practical significances, subject areas, as well as research methods and frameworks of this thesis. The second part: Summary of public bathing cultures in domestic and abroadIn this section, the author introduces the development process of public bathing cultures and present situations of public bath buildings designs in domestic and abroad. Then the author makes a summary. The third part: The design of public bathing spaceIn this section, the author proposes design principles and requirements of public bathing space and researches the space design of bath building from building functions, indoor and outdoor space, transportation lines and fire evacuations. Then, the author makes a summary. The forth part: Research on post evaluation of use in public bathing space. In this section, the author uses the post evaluation theory and method of use. Then the author uses fields'research, questionnaires, interviews and other technical means to collect, summarize analysis and research the feedback information of users. At last, the author gets the relationship between the needs of users and bath space designs and provides scientific and objective basis of bath space designs. In the end, the author draws conclusions of this thesis. |
