Universal Design Of Home Bathing Aids For The Disabled Elderly

The development trend of aging in China is becoming more and more serious,and the problem of aging development has been widely concerned by the society.As a special group,disabled elderly people have special physiological and psychological characteristics.Bathing is an indispensable part of the daily life of the elderly.Disabled elderly cannot complete bathing alone due to their physiological and psychological particularity.At the same time,it is also accompanied by bathing difficulties and bathing risks.In this paper,the disabled elderly and bath attendants are taken as the target users.The disabled elderly are divided into mild disabled elderly,mild disabled elderly,moderate disabled elderly and completely disabled elderly,and the user needs are studied.The general design theory and method are used to design the products to meet the needs of the target users.The main research contents of this paper include :(1)Through literature research,the connotation,application and design process of general design theory are sorted out,and on this basis,the design process and method of general design of bathing aids for the disabled elderly are summarized.(2)A questionnaire survey and user interviews were conducted on the target users to explore users ’ needs and expectations for home-based bathing aids.Combined with the Kano model,the needs of target users were summarized and summarized,and the needs of disabled elderly people and bathers were output from basic needs,expected needs and excited needs.(3)Conduct market research on home bathing related products,analyze their functions and summarize product problems and user expectations.The user research and related product research are integrated,and the design innovation opportunity points are proposed from five dimensions of function,space,behavior,color and material.(4)According to the design innovation opportunity point,the design practice of general design of disabled elderly bathing aids is carried out.In this paper,the general design theory is used to guide the general design of bathing aids for disabled elderly people,and the user needs are taken as the center for investigation.The design scheme solves the practical problems of users and meets the user needs.Finally,the general design process and method of the disabled elderly bathing aids mentioned in this paper are applied to the design process,the design transformation is completed,and the correctness of the method is proved.
