Global warming and its huge damage seriously impacted on economic and social sustainable development, reducing greenhouse gas emissions as the main imperative. Green plants absorb carbon dioxide through photosynthesis.This special life events provide an important measure for the reduction greenhouse gas emissions. Plant CO2-fixing capacity quantitative study has great significance on evaluation the effect of plants in the emission reduction and guidance green plants plant. The researchers began very early in the microscopic mechanism of plant photosynthesis and plant respiration, but has less plants CO2-fixing calculation study from the application point .This paper residential area as research scale, studied plant CO2-fixing calculation and application methods.Established an annual as the time scale of calculation plant carbon fixing cycle, proposed a model forecasting methods based on typical meteorological year, the photosynthetic active radiation as a single factor model input parameters and verify feasibility of the light response curve model as a photosynthesis predictive model, derived the formula of carbon content per unit leaf area of plant.Through comparative analysis of several calculation methods, thought that the ways of using leaf area index more appropriate. According to the crown area of trees and shrubs or herbaceous cultivated area, calculate the total area of leaves per plant. Introduced specific leaf area index measurement process. Than derived the formula of carbon content of plant community .Established the relative evaluation index combined with residential area carbon emissions - carbon environmental index, as an important part of green plants CO2-fixing capacity evaluation methods in residential area.Using the plant carbon sequestration calculating method studied in the earlier paper, estimated 41 commonly afforestation plants in Shenzhen City, and respectively cluster analysis leaf area index, carbon sequestration amount of per unit leaf area, unit crown area.This provided a reference for plant species choice. Take Caitian village for example, demonstrated the comprehensive application of full-text research methods.This paper studied the plant leaves - green volume (per plant) - plant communities, established a more detailed estimated method process of plant carbon sequestration. Combined relative evaluation and absolute evaluation,formed a more complete evaluation system for green plant carbon sequestration capacity.
