Construct The Folk Dwelling In The "H" Village

In recent years, the folk dwelling in Jianghan Plain has been updating in a rapid speed, which reflects the fact that rural craftsmen and residents have been continuously exploring. Nevertheless, the present situation is somewhat dissppointing. The original dwelling type has been abandoned and the present folk dwelling is completely lost in imitating the urban mode, which implies the self-definition right and discourse power of rural dwelling has already been gave up. Getting ride of the limits of group awareness the new settlement arrangements are self-centered, which means the essence, identity and cohesion of the new folk dwelling in Jianghan Plain are lost. This paper primarily focuses on the root causes and solutions of the problem in five parts as follows.Chapter one, which aiming at building a clear and complete background for the latter chapters, gives a brief introduction of the research object, aim, significance, research methods and the present research status home and abroad.Chapter two analyzes the influences of the background factors such as nature, culture and everyday life. In a perspective of sociology this chapter describes the typical folk dwelling in different periods, uses the typology research method to analyse dateing and gives the conclusion that"folk dwelling is the material need of residents"is the driven power of the folk dwelling renewal".Chapter three analyzes the differences in the renewal of the interior space and external form of typical folk dwelling. Moreover, it infers that the present situation is a consequence of the spontaneous imitation and analogy of the rural residents, hence,academic guidance and intervention are required to avoid the misunderstanding.Chapter four analyzes the systematic advantages and disadvantages of the"house owner-craftsman"system by focusing on the"stage construction"feature which rests on a great number of reviews with craftsman. Meanwhile, the study tracks the fund flow in the process of dwelling renewal and puts forward the budget control solution in construction.Chapter five concludes that the essence of the folk dwelling renewal in Jianghan Plain lies in how to lead the spontaneity to a state of consciousness in updating. Besides, it describes an updating tendency and potential influence of the modern settlements and appeals for the academic attention to the updating of ordinary village and folk residents.
