Researches Of Folk Dwelling House On The Market Towns In ChengDu Plain

There was good name " the land of abundance " a long ago for the areas of Chengdu Plain. The areas of Chengdu Plain in SiChuan has a great important position in study of architectural history because of it's characteristic position and long standing culture. According to the data, there are about five period for the progress of folk residence In Sichuan: Chin Dynasty, Tang and Song Dynasty, Yuan , Ming and Qing Dynasty, Republic of China. The great of building by which the relationship between the culture of Chinese history and architecture can be studied had been well preserved until today. In the process of the long time history evolution, embodying the variety progress of history evolution for the art of folk dewelling-house ,communicating with plentiful culture from the exterral world,specially with the historical emigration and dynasty's vicissitude and change, which showed the variety character of the influence and communication each other ,among median land and other region building.The present thesis is based on vast amount of literature study and on-the-spot investigation. It analyzed and researched from the point of environment, ecology, history, culture, space, decoration, structure and category, etc. It employs the concrete cases as its studying subject and extensive architecture as its methodology based on which a complete pattern and constitution of market-towns and local-style dwelling houses in Chengdu plain has been put forward. The thesis aims to complete the study system of local architecture in Sichuan, provides a sources and decision-making evidence for the preservation and utilize of the traditional market-towns and local-style dwelling houses.The traditionl architecture culture in our country do have a powerful vitality, in spite of the trditional folk dwelling-house on market-town today have been one of decay history space heritage and resource of culture enviorment, It's of momentous significance and value how to draw nourishment from it, making it's protection for style and features and continued develop market town today , keeping up the multielement of culture , the precious heritage and promote character in region , and so on . This is the final purpose of the research of this thesis.
