With the great investment of Li-Ion(LI) in auto market, the quantity demand has rapidly increased. The higher performance and lower cost also becoming important problems. The performance and cost of Winding Machine has deterministic influence for LI. So the research of a Ion Core Coiler instruments with good performance and low cost would become a important task.With the status cooperation of LI creation facility in and aboard, we known that the all the LI Coiler instrument were designed with PLC as main controller currently. The long control circle of PLC main controller and the low speed of PLC operation made the control of tension unsatisfactory. The expensive price also become a serious withdraw. We propose using TMS320F2812 created by TI corporation as main controller with the EMP1270 as the assist controller. In the scheme, the demand of system control and system cost has been considered sufficient.In the software realization process of this scheme, finite state machine system has been realized so as to satisfy the standard of the machine instrument control process strictly. This method not only improves the readability of the software system, but also improves the system portability. In man-machine interface realize part, the touch screen provided by the company eView with embedded CPU MT4300C series touch screen has been used, combined with the special communication protocol which company provides to completed the communications between touch screen and DSP. The complexity of DSP designed has also been great reduced by using this touch screen.The Winding machine designed by this scheme has been used in actual application currently, the results indicate that the system not only reduced the cost but also satisfy the production requirements.
