With the escalation of noise pollution and the higher requirements from consumers on the performance of vehicles with respect to noise, vibration and hardness (NVH), to solve the problems on noise and vibration control of vehicles has become even more urgent. A set of user-oriented, fully-equipped test system is the prerequisite of controlling vehicles noise and vibration. This project aims to use of Matlab to develop the test system of vehicle noise and vibration.Firstly, based on the present characteristic of the noise and vibration testing system, the paper introduces the basic theories on data acquisition, signal processing, etc., and provides the FFT transformation formulas and the windows function models, and the basic knowledge of data acquisition cards, acceleration sensors, microphones and other related test hardware.Secondly, in this paper mainly analyse the development of the noise and vibration testing software and the FFT software. By use of Matlab Data Acquisition Toolbox to control the data acquisition card, which includes channel setup, trigger, sampling frequency, display of image and other operations. By using Data processing Toolbox of Matlab, the FFT analysis of vibration signals can be achieved. With the graphical user interface, the noise and vibration testing software and FFT software interface can be developed. Finally, it is needed to debug the set of noise and vibration testing system and do some related field tests, which include excitation test of the hammer, the vibration test of vehicle and measurement of outside noise of vehicle, then analyze the measured data. Through the series of debugging and testing, the system's stability and measurement accuracy of the data can be verified.
