With the increasing depletion of traditional energy and the pollution is rising, wind energy as a green energy received wide attention. But most wind turbine has a high failure rate in the current.It reduced the reliability of wind turbine. Spindle bearing fatigue caused bigger fault loss. Spindle bearings are double row self-aligning roller bearings. Using computer simulation technique, predicted the fatigue life of wind turbine main shaft bearing. Understand the failure mechanism provides certain theoretical basis for the bench test. It has a very important significance to predict the failure. This thesis mainly have the following several aspects:It has analysised work characteristics, fault types and fault reasons of wind turbine main shaft bearing. Through the analysis, the contact fatigue caused by alternating load is an important reason for the bearing failure. The method and theory of fatigue life prediction are analyzed and studied.This paper studied the classification and source of the load on wind turbine. The load on the wind wheel and blade was studied at the rated wind speed. It Abstracted and simplified the shaft of transmission chain. The axial load and radial load on the bearing was validated.Considering the influence of over surplus assembly, it has a statics stress analysis for the bearing using finite element analysis software. The maximum equivalent stress and contact stress of the position and size on shaft bearing are determined. Based on the results of stress by finite element analysised, nominal stress method and linear cumulative damage theory of fatigue, the paper predicted fatigue life of wind turbine main shaft bearing.
