Smart grid ,which can operate reliably, safely, economically and efficiently with the advanced sensing and measuring technology, advanced measurement technology, advanced control methods and advanced decision support system, is built on an integrated, high-speed and two-way communication network. Based on the characteristic and requirement of smart power grid, such as self-repairing, interactive, optimized and compatible, a visual intelligent remote monitoring and control system of smart grid, which is also known as interactive terminal system, is designed and achieved. The system communicates with electricity suppliers through the GPRS Communication Module, such as accepting commands from electricity suppliers, uploading the data and parameters to electricity suppliers. And the system communicates with the multi-function meters through ZigBee communication module, such as sending commands to multi-function meters, receiving data and parameters form multi-function meters. In addition, interactive terminal system has other features ,such as collecting data, analysising data, preservating data, analysising data , Seting system parameters, and so on . We can view the real-time data, the analysis of equipment performance, information from electricity suppliers , uploaded information ,and also upload technical issues through liquid-crystal display (LCD) interface.The system is developed using EVC on embedded system windows CE 5.0 of EPC8600 embedded computer motherboard. The system adopts the idea of modularization, which include the grid parameter acquisition module, the data processing and analysis module, the data storage module, the system settings module, the interaction module between the main station and the users.This paper focuses on the design and implementation of the interactive terminal system of smart grid . The accomplished tasks are as following:1. Research and design the overall program of the interactive terminal systems.2. Analysis and research the each function of the interactive terminal systems.3. Design and implementation communication with the main station through the GPRS Communication Module ,including the frame format for data transmission, data encoding and transmission rules .4. Design and implementation communication with the multi-function meters through the ZigBee communication module, including the analysis, selection and definition of Communication protocol .5. Collect, analyze , process ,store data from multi-function meters and the main station.6. Implement the visual interface .Including the display and analysis of the electricity data and electricity consumption of equipments, electricity price at different times .7. Implement the interaction function between the users and the main station , Users can report technical issues and electricity demands to the main station through the system , and also the main station can publish the news and announcements ,such as power failure power supply the electricity price .According to many experiments , the system has abundant functions and many merits ,such as stable performance, convenient operation, easy to maintenance and development . Thus the system was checked and accepted by the relevant department.
