The Study Of Electronic Measurement Technology Virtual Laboratory

Because the use of traditional laboratories in most universities is increasingly in short supply, at the same time virtual instrument technology, computer technology and network technology increasingly become full-fledged and can provide technical basis for the construction of virtual laboratories, then virtual laboratories come into being.In this project, the virtual laboratory uses the architecture what combines Brower/Server and Client/Server, and the server is divided into application server and Web server. Application server is used to take data acquisition from hardware and transfer data to the Web server, and Web server is used to build databases and process the data.In this project, it programs with LabVIEW software, and use the web publishing in LabVIEW to make controlling experiments remotely true, and design home page with Dreamweaver software. At present, the client can enter into the home page of the established virtual laboratory to operate experiments by URL http://172.20.230.108 In the established virtual laboratory there is one real-time measurement experiment called spectral analysis of periodic signals, it is finished by taking data acquisition from the hardware and transfer the real data from application server to Web server with DataSocket and then taking web publishing. There is one software simulation experiment called spectral analysis of periodic signals, it is entirely completed by the software. There are five experiments whose process is fetching data from databases to take experiments. The five experiments are the metal resistance strain gauge bridge performance comparison, the static characteristics of test system, the measurement and analysis of dynamic signal, the eddy current displacement sensor experiment, the experiment of measuring pressure with Piezoresistive pressure sensor.In the process of building the virtual laboratory, database use and data transmission are both important and difficult. In the paper how to visit Access databases with LabSQL and how to achieve data transmission are discussed in detail.Currently, the electronic measurement technology virtual laboratory system is running normally. Students can log to experiment on the client, and experiments can be operated by several persons at the same time. However, this system needs to be further improved, for example it can increase the forum platform for students to discuss and resolve problems encountered in the experiments, and it can increase the data processing platform for external data to help others to solve the problem and so on.
